Puluong is a valley of 25km x 5 km, stretching from 300 to 900m above sea level, alternating mountains, rain forests, and small valleys of terraced rice fields dotted by charming villages, gardens, and springs. All offer an excellent opportunity for outdoor lovers.

CYCLING

There are multiple trekking loops with different levels, from easy to be advanced. You can start with a morning easy walk to welcome sunrise, or a half-day short trip of 5-7km (2-3 hours walking). Young trekkers can take the longer route with 8 hours of trekking (15-20kms).

All journeys pass through magnificent terrace rice fields, turning from green to yellow by crops of cultivation and harvesting. You might stop over at a local house for a cup of tea, chatting with inhabitants about their story of 4-generation lives. At the end of trips, let’s take an easy cycling around the villages and try confectionery sold by local shoppers. Do not forget to listen to our local guide’s poetic story of love, of his land and human being.

For challenge lovers, a full day hike to conquer Pu Luong’s highest peak is a great recommendation. 10 hours of trekking through the primary rain forest are worthwhile, with a reach to the highest peak of Puluong mountain with 3600 Panorama view of Puluong giant valley and the historical Horse (Mã) river.

Pu Luong Retreat offers trekking tours from half-day to 3-day options. Check with us for details.
